About Us
We changed our name this year from Heartlands Church to Vantage Point Church. We did this in response to what we believed God was showing us about our future – that He was growing us from a relatively small, country-style church to a larger resource church with a greater responsibility for our City, Rustenburg; our Province, the North-West; our nation, South Africa; and the world.People often ask us what our vision and values are. Without meaning to be trite, the only possible answer for us is “Jesus is our vision; and we value what He values”. Within that, of course, there is scope for many different ministries and Kingdom callings to function.
Every church should be a place where heaven and earth meet; where the lost, the hurting, the needy, the saved, the seeking, the joyous people of earth, can come and meet with the living and risen Christ. At Vantage Point therefore we welcome the ministry of the Holy Spirit and encourage every newcomer to submit to the Lordship of Christ and every believer to grow in the knowledge of their Saviour.
From personal discipleship to theological training, we seek to be a community that is both caring and focused on Christ’s Great Commission.
