Our Mission & Vision
Gospel Centered
Spirit-Filled
Engaging Culture
We are a Gospel centered, Spirit-filled Church, focused on engaging our culture for the sake of Jesus Christ.
The Gospel is “Good News” about what God has done through Jesus Christ to redeem the fallen world.
Since through sin, all humankind is alienated from right relationship with God, by grace He has made a way of salvation for us through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and will one day restore all things through Christ.
In submission to the Bible we consider the message about who Jesus is, and what He has done on the cross as the power of God for the salvation of all who believe and the foundation for the Christian faith (John 17:3; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts 3:18-21; 2 Corinthians 5:17-21).
We are a Spirit-filled Church who endeavors to rely on, submit to and obey the leading of the Holy Spirit as revealed in the Bible in every aspect of our fellowship, ministry and personal life.
We believe that the Gospel propels us into every sphere of our communities, workplaces and neighbourhoods, leading us to engage culture with the powerful, life-giving truth of the Bible. Our desire is to see culture transformed by the grace of God and for the flourishing of life according to God’s plan for mankind.
God’s grace leads us to joyfully obey the Bible and propels us to engage people of different age groups, backgrounds and ethnicities with the Good News of salvation.
Our Beliefs & Values
We believe in one Sovereign Eternal God, Creator and Lord of heaven and earth, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who governs all things according to the purpose of His will (Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 40:28; Ephesians 4:6; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14).
In the Person and Work of Jesus Christ
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary (Matthew 1:18-23; Luke 1:26-35).
We believe that there is only one Savior and only one Gospel. Jesus Christ being himself the only one who is fully God and fully man, who died for our sins, as a penal substitutionary sacrifice. He is the only mediator between God and people. There is no other name by which we must be saved (1 Corinthians 15:3; Acts 4:10-12; John 1:1; John 1:14; Mark 10:45; 1 Timothy 2:5).
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, His ascension into heaven, and his present life as our High Priest and Advocate with God (Romans 8:34; 1 John 2:1).
We believe in the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ (John 14:13; Revelations 1:7; Revelations 22:12).
In the Person and Work of the Holy Spirit
We believe in the person of the Holy Spirit, not in an impersonal force. He is God, equal in nature with God the Father and God the Son (Matthew 28:19; Acts 5:3-4).
We believe in His regenerating work, and abiding presence in the true believer.
We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells all true believers and that He has been sent to be the Comforter and Empowerer of the Christian Church, to produce the fruit of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit according to the Scripture (John 3:5-6; John 14:26; John 16:8-15; Romans 8:9; Romans 8:14-16; Romans 8:26-27; Galatians 5:22-23).
In the Scripture
We believe all Scripture is fully inspired by God (God-breathed) (2 Timothy 3:16). The Holy Spirit led the writers to write the very words of God (2 Peter 1:19-21; 1 Corinthians 2:13). The entire Bible in its original manuscripts is divinely inspired (Matthew 5:18; John 17:17). The Bible and the Bible alone is the final authority for Christian belief and practice, and not any human reasons or experience. The entire Bible centers on the Lord Jesus Christ and leads us to Him (Luke 24:27; Luke 24:44; John 5:39; Acts 17:2-3). All the Scriptures were written for our teaching, admonition and edification (Romans 15:4; 1 Corinthians 10:11; 2 Timothy 3:16).
Man and Sin
We believe that God created man in His image (Genesis 1:26-27); that man sinned and thereby incurred the penalty of death, spiritually, psychologically, socially and physically; and that all human beings inherit a sinful nature, which issues in actual transgression involving personal guilt (Romans 5:12-21; Romans 3:10-12; Romans 3:23; Psalms 51:5).
We believe that all who repent of their sin and receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God (Mark 1:15; John 1:12; John 3:16; Acts 4:12; Acts 2:38).
We believe that the whole company of those that have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior, have been redeemed by Him and regenerated by the Holy Spirit, form the true church, and that the local church on Earth should take its character from this concept. Therefore the new birth and personal confession of faith in Christ are essentials of church membership.
We believe that the ascended Christ has given various ministries and / or ministers to the Church in order to bring all believers to the place of Christian maturity in understanding of truth, and the performance and function of the ministry (Ephesians 4:11; Romans 12:4-8; 1 Corinthians 12:10-31).
We believe in the priesthood of all believers (1 Peter 2:5-9).
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ appointed two ordinances – baptism (Matthew 28:19) and the Lord’s table (Matthew 26:26-29; 1 Corinthians 11:23-30) – to be observed as acts of obedience and as a perpetual witness to the cardinal facts of the Christian faith.
We believe that baptism is defined as the immersion of the believer in water as a confession of identification with Christ in burial and resurrection; and that the Lord’s table is partaking of the bread and the cup as symbols of the Savior’s broken body and shed blood, in remembrance of His sacrificial death until His return.
We believe that all Christians are called to a life of holiness, devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ and service to Him (John 15:4-5; Romans 12:1-2; Hebrews 12:1-2).
Gender and Sexuality
We believe that God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male and female (Psalm139:13-16). These two distinct, complementary genders each reflect the image and nature of God (Genesis 1:26-27). An individual’s gender and sexuality is not a matter of personal choice. We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other (1 Corinthians 6:18; 1 Corinthians 7:2-5; Hebrews 13:4).
We believe in the resurrection both of the just and the unjust, the eternal blessedness of the redeemed, and the eternal conscious torment of those who have rejected the offer of salvation in Jesus Christ (John 5:28-29; 1 Corinthians 15:22-23; 1 Thessalonians 4:16).
We are a family where you can grow spiritually, find belonging and discover God’s purpose for your life.
